EAGAN HOCKEY ASSOCIATION MISSION

Our Association seeks to provide a community based and volunteer-driven program to promote the growth and development of our players. Our Association works to promote a fun, fair, and safe environment that maximizes participation and improves players' skills while developing sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence. Membership is open to all players who live within the Eagan High School attendance area as defined by ISD 196.

Eagan Civic Arena COVID-19 Rules (west & east rinks)

A few key items to note as a coach/spectator/player:  

  1. Do not enter the Eagan Civic Arena more than 10 minutes in advance of any ice time - the player should enter dressed in hockey gear from the waist down and a mask. Goalies may enter 15 minutes in advance of ice time.
  2. Locker rooms are open
  3. DO NOT PUT ON OR TAKE OFF ANY GEAR IN THE LOBBY AREA
  4. Small drawstring bags are permitted, but no equipment bags. Players still need to come dressed
  5. Coaches must wear a mask on the ice and while on the bench for a practice/game/scrimmage.
  6. Players 6 years of age and older must wear a mask at all times including while on the ice for practice and game/scrimmage.
  7. For practices, only players at the Mite/8U levels or below are allowed to have one adult in attendance. If the player is able to put on equipment by him/herself, it is recommended that the player is dropped off at the arena and the parent does not go into the arena. Siblings are not allowed.
  8. Maximum of two spectators per player will be allowed for games, with exceptions for parents or guardians who must bring in young children, subject to rink capacity
    • the East rink allows 63 total spectators, must social distance
    • the West rink allows 104 total spectators, must social distance
  9. Up to three (3) coaches are allowed on the bench,
  10. Two (2) people are allowed to work the clock, score book and penalty box's in either rink,
  11. Each person must bring their own water bottle and fill prior to coming to the rink 
  12. After your ice time is finished quickly exit the arena while wearing your mask.  All teams must exit the arena 10 min after your ice time. Waiting in the lobby area is strictly prohibited
  13. Please wear your mask and follow social distancing signs and stickers
  14. Per MN Hockey, injured (non dressed) players are not allowed on the bench at any time
  15. Dryland facilities are closed for the season

On November 1st, 2019 we suffered the tragic loss of a friend and teammate, Patric Vitek. Patric was a member of the PeeWee A team for the 2019-2020 season and played hockey in the community since mites. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Patric is the son of Brian and Cheryl Vitek, and older brother to Jack.
