  • American Development Model

As many of you know, EHA has made efforts to adopt the principles and concepts associated with American Development Model.  It was developed by USA Hockey, in partnership with the National Hockey League.  The following is an excerpt from its web site (www.admkids.com) -- along with an article addressing some myths associated with the program.

"The American Development Model is a nationwide model for successfully developing American hockey players. It is by no means a mandate sent from USA Hockey, but a tool that will ensure every kid will have the same chance to succeed. By implementing ADM, associations will see an increase in player retention. Again, ADM is not a set of rules or mandates, but guidelines designed specifically to help kids reach their full potential."

All levels of mite coaches, preps, 1, 2/3 & 8U use the ADM practice plans to facilitate practice sessions.
